Payments

Point 1.

The purchase of products on www.archinews.pt is only authorised for persons over 18 years of age, or in the case of minors, their legal representatives.

Point 2.

The purchase of products through our platform is only permitted to individuals or legal entities duly registered on our site.

Point 3

Registration on our site implies acceptance and permission by each individual for Archi&Book’s, Lda. to access the data entered for billing purposes.

Point 4

Each user is responsible for keeping their data correct and up to date

Point 5

Payments can be made via:

Entity and MB Reference – Generated at the time of purchase of one or more products selected by the customer, confirmed by the customer and where the Payment Method selected is MB. Once the payment has been processed and confirmed by the bank, Archi&Book’s, Lda. will issue and send the invoice to the person or organisation that purchased the products in accordance with the data entered by them on the platform

“Payment of Services”, with entity and reference, at any ATM or via your homebanking service. (Only available to customers of Portuguese banks – Payment service provided by IfthenPay)

The receipt issued by the Multibanco terminal is proof of payment. Keep it.

Homebanking and Bank Transfer – Payments made by bank transfer and/or homebanking should be made to ARCHI&BOOK’S, LDA.

Once the payment has been processed and confirmed by the bank, Archi&Book’s, Lda. will issue and send the invoice to the person or organisation that purchased them, in accordance with the details entered by them or sent to one of the following emails (in the case of persons or organisations not registered on our website): geral@archinews.pt, archibooks@archinews.pt or daf@archinews.pt.

Make your payment directly into our bank account. Use your order ID as your payment reference. Your order will only be dispatched once the respective amounts have been deposited in our account.

PAYSHOP – Simple payment at “Payshop” agents, CTT shops or post offices (payment service provided by IfthenPay).

Payable at any Payshop agent, CTT shop or post office.

MBWAY – Simple payment using “MB WAY” on your mobile phone (Only available to customers of Portuguese banks with the MB WAY app installed – Payment service provided by IfthenPay).

Use the MB WAY app on your mobile phone to authorise payment.

Credit/Debit Card – When purchasing one or more products selected by the customer, confirmed by the customer, and where the Payment Method selected is Credit/Debit Card. Once the payment has been processed and confirmed by the bank, Archi&Book’s, Lda. will issue and send the invoice to the person or organisation that purchased the products in accordance with the data entered by them on the platform.

Archi&Book’s, Lda. undertakes not to store, or in any way hold, information relating to any credit/debit card or authentication data.

Point 6

Archi&Book’s, Lda. undertakes to comply with the rules, in particular security, assigned to online payments or distance selling, imposed by the legislation in force or by the Bank of Portugal.

Point 7

Archi&Book’s, Lda. undertakes to immediately notify IFTHENPAY of any fraud or error in the use of any Payment Transaction of which it becomes aware. It also undertakes to use its best endeavours to seize any Payment Instrument if requested to do so by IFTHENPAY in response to an authorisation request or when Archi&Book’s, Lda. has strong reasons to believe that it is being used fraudulently or unlawfully.

Point 8

Archi&Book’s, Lda. recognises that IFTHENPAY may, in the context of the investigation of any suspicion of irregularity in a transaction, fraud or breach of the Contract established between them, require access to documents and additional information relating to any and all transactions, for which reason it undertakes to provide access to such documents and information whenever requested to do so.

Point 9

IFTHENPAY and Archi&Book’s, Lda. are bound by a reciprocal duty of secrecy and confidentiality with regard to all information, documents or other elements to which they may have access, unless expressly authorised by the parties or when required by law. Excluded from this duty of secrecy and confidentiality is data, as well as all information to any of the entities involved in the payment instruments.

Refunds

Point 1

Whenever the delivery of the product is not recognised, under the conditions agreed between Archi&Book’s, Lda. and the Consumer. The Consumer must first inform Archi&Book’s, Lda. in writing of the non-conformity(ies) found and the reason for the return.

Point 2

The return of the product implies that it is returned in the same condition in which it was received, including the packaging.

Point 3

On confirmation of the reason for the return, Archi&Book’s, Lda. will pay the shipping costs.

Point 4

The use of the “Credit/Debit Card” payment instrument entails the risk of Charge Back, which means that transactions that have already been made may be cancelled and the payment returned to the Consumer.

Point 5

The risk referred to in the previous paragraph may arise for various reasons, described on the Visa, Mastercard or other network websites, but also when the cardholder is unaware of the transaction, due to bad faith not attributable to the cardholder, the use of stolen, cloned or copied credit/debit cards, or when the delivery of the product or services is not recognised, under the conditions agreed between Archi&Book’s, Lda. and the Consumer.

Point 6

The provisions of the law applicable in Portugal shall govern where omitted.
